The New HP (post Hewlett Packard/Compaq merger) convened their first Preferred Supplier Meeting in Houston, Texas on September 20, 2002.
This Preferred Supplier Meeting recognized those suppliers identified as "Best in Class" for their superior commitment to technology, quality, responsive-ness, delivery, cost, environmental commitment and general business stability.
Suppliers were assigned either gold or silver status based upon The New HP's internal scoring system. Foam Fabricators was one of only three foam packaging suppliers awarded gold status.
Budd Florkiewicz, Foam Fabricators' President and CEO, was presented the award. Budd responded by saying, "This award is the culmination of much effort and dedication by the entire Foam Fabricators organization. We recognize that the honor bestowed by this award also demands a high degree of responsibility on behalf of the recipient. Foam Fabricators possesses the resources and dedication to continue exceeding HP's expectations".

Once again, Foam Fabricators is pleased to announce expansion plans. A third fabrication facility is being designed for Modesto, California. This site will compliment the other two locations in Dallas, Texas, and Queretaro, Mexico, which comprise the fabrication division. It will provide a full range of services using state-of-the-art machinery.
The fabricating processes include, but are not limited to, hot wiring, saw cutting, cross sawing, profile cutting, die cutting, pressure cutting, heat melting, and heat sealing. The materials used to create the packaging solutions include polyurethane, polypropylene, polyethylene, and polystyrene. If you have any questions, please contact Dan Schloss at 209-523-7002.
Additionally, Foam Fabricators will be operating another manufacturing facility in Mexico. They have formed an alliance with Petro Pac to mold products in a plant in Juarez. This location joins our other two Mexican facilities located in Tijuana and Queretero, which is approximately 120 miles outside of Mexico City.
These additions will enable Foam Fabricators to expand their geographic reach in both of these markets. "These expansion plans allow us to meet the ever changing needs of our customers. They also comply with our corporate expansion plans," remarked Budd Florkiewicz, president and CEO of Foam Fabricators.
